1. Who receives the gifts I purchase?
   
   

   The mission of Ryan's Well is to Build, Educate and Motivate to stop the global water and sanitation crisis.   Your gift is directed towards fulfilling this mission in Canada and throughout the countries where we support water and sanitation projects. Our projects take place in partnership with local organizations within each country who identify and select areas most in need of support. Your donation becomes part of  larger programs supporting the safe water chain for families and communities in need of access to safe water and proper sanitation.  To learn more about our projects, please visit www.ryanswell.ca/projects.

2. Where does my money go when I make a donation?
   
   

   Ryan's Well remains committed to keeping administrative and fundraising costs low. We're very proud to say that 90¢ of every dollar goes directly toward implementing our mission to Build safe water sources for people most in need, Educate people on the water crisis and what they can do about it, and Motivate others, especially young people to take action.

   Any gifts over $1,000 can be designated to a specific water and sanitation project so that you may connect with the impact of your significant gift.

3. How do I tell people I’ve given a gift in their name?
   
   

   We do the work for you! We’ve created a special gift card that will be personalized with the recipient’s name, your name, plus the item you’ve donated in their honour.

4. What choices do I have for getting Gift Cards to the people I want them for?
   
   

   You have three choices, all of which are available during the checkout process:

   • You can send an e-card instantly.
   • You can have our gift card sent to your address so that you can add your own personal note and put it under the tree yourself!
   • You can have our gift card sent directly to the mailing address of your choice.

5. What happens if my card does not arrive?
   
   

   We aim to have all gift cards out within 3 business days of your order being placed, but you should allow longer due to high volumes of mail during the holiday season. If it has been longer than 7 business days, please call us at 1-613-258-6832 and we will send you a replacement card right away.

6. Will I get a tax receipt for my gift?
   
   

   You will receive a Canadian charitable tax receipt for income tax purposes on donations of $10 or more.

   If you are donating from the U.S. and DO NOT require your contribution to be tax deductible, then donations can be made directly to the Ryan's Well Foundation.

   However, if you are donating from the U.S. and want your donation to be tax deductible, you can donate to Ryan's Well Foundation through the Tides Foundation to receive a charitable receipt for tax purposes.  The Tides Foundation (www.tidesfoundation.org) is a duly registered public charity under sections 501 (c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the US Internal Revenue Code and will accept donations for Ryan's Well through their Global Support Fund.

7. Can I have the tax receipt issued in the name of the person I am sending the gift to?
   
   

   All donations will receive an income tax receipt. In accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), we can only issue the receipt in the name of the individual or organization making the donation or gift.

8. Does the Ryan's Well Foundation trade, sell or rent donor information?
   
   

   No, we do not exchange in any way, shape or form donor information. We value the support of our donors and do not believe in providing this information to others.
